PAV Events F34 truss mother grid installation in iconic heritage listed building

Our friends at PAV Events have been supplying AV, events and installations in Western Australia for almost 50 years and have proudly supported University of WA in many events.

With PAV Events extensive amount of experience working in one of Perth’s heritage listed buildings, Wintrop Hall, they were provided an engineered plan to execute and install a complete motorised mother grid rigging system for an upcoming opera event.

The grid comprised of more than 125m of F34 Global Truss with limited amount of attachment points in the building, they had to suspend 12 chain motors which required 2 x 8 way controllers to work simultaneously to enable them to lift the grid.

DQ worked swiftly to come up with a solution to link their 8 way controllers together and arranged for the appropriate cable to be overnighted to ensure an easy install process for the PAV team.

“The air-bagging of a little cable made all the difference for a gig we just loaded in. Thank you Tony and Lusia!”, exclaims Group Event & AV Manager, David Rayner.

No job or problem is too little for DQ to help solve — we lift the load off your shoulders so you can focus on the big things.
