The Encore ES-RMC-16RU-W2 16RU 16RU Standard Rack Mount Combination 19″ Rack Mount Case with Castors; Fixed 12RU Rack Mount Hi Top to Suit New Digital Style Mixers; Two Stand-Alone Benches – Black combines equipment storage and rack mounting. It also provides portable work surfaces, all in one professional mobile production system.
Designed for audio, AV, live production, broadcast, event and touring applications, the workstation incorporates a 16RU 19-inch rack mount. Additionally, it features a fixed 12RU upper rack mount section, a fold-over upper section, and two detachable side sections that convert into stand-alone work benches.
For transport and storage, the complete workstation packs down into a single enclosed road case. Once on site, the case can be opened. It can then be configured to create a practical production workspace around the centrally mounted equipment.
16RU 19″ Equipment Rack
The main section provides 16RU of 19-inch rack mount capacity for compatible audio, AV, communications, processing and production equipment.
Mounted on castors, the central rack remains mobile and forms the core of the workstation when deployed.
Fixed 12RU Upper Rack Mount
Above the main equipment rack is an additional fixed 12RU rack mount section. This provides further mounting capacity within the upper workstation area.
This arrangement allows equipment to be organised across separate rack sections. Furthermore, it keeps controls and frequently accessed equipment within the production workspace.
Fold-Over Upper Section
The fold-over upper section allows the taller workstation structure to pack down into the enclosed road case for transport.
Once opened, it creates the elevated upper section of the workstation. This helps maximise usable rack capacity without requiring a permanently full-height transport case.
Two Stand-Alone Work Benches
Both removable side sections convert into independent work benches using integrated folding legs.
With the two benches deployed, operators gain substantial additional workspace on either side of the central rack. This is ideal for laptops, control surfaces, production accessories, communications equipment and other working essentials.
Because each bench is independent, the workstation can also be configured with only one bench when floor space is limited.

A major advantage of the ES-RMC-16RU-W2 is its ability to combine the rack system and working surfaces. These are integrated into one transportable package.
At the end of the job, the side benches fold down and return to the main case. Meanwhile, the upper section folds over for storage. The workstation can then be closed and moved as a single road case.
This makes it particularly suited to touring and temporary production environments. In such settings, equipment needs to be transported efficiently and quickly converted into a functional workspace on site.
