CNC OPERATOR/GENERAL HAND

Location:
  • Auburn, NSW

Job tasks and responsibilities

The position involves utilising a CNC router for the precision cutting of foam, plywood, and various materials.  Your responsibilities will also include cutting and drilling aluminium extrusion and additional preparation and assembly of materials.  This role requires physical fitness, as lifting up to 25kgs is necessary, with a constant emphasis on safety.

Skills and Experience

  • Machine operation experience.
  • Can read and interpret detailed CAD drawings.
  • Read work orders and ensure components are prepared to the correct specifications.
  • Set up, operated, and troubleshot CNC routers. (full training provided)
  • Enthusiastic with a flexible attitude.
  • Be a team player.
  • Good attention to detail with an appreciation of the importance of a quality finish.
  • Sense of humour.
  • Great attitude towards safety.

  • General Workshop duties.
  • Basic assembly using hand tools. (full training provided)
  • Glueing foam.
  • Cutting and drilling extrusion.
  • Keeping workshop in a clean and tidy condition.

CABINET MAKER/CASE ASSEMBLER

We're thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for two full-time Protective Case Builders to join our vibrant team in Auburn. While a background in woodworking, cabinet making, or handiwork is a plus, don't worry if you're new to the world of case building – we provide comprehensive training. No matter your gender, if you have a knack for hand tools and enjoy building, these roles are a perfect fit for you.

Your Next Adventure:

As a Protective Case Builder, your mission is to bring our design concepts to life. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Translating 3D CAD files into real-world case products using a tablet as your guide.
  • Expertly cutting and drilling aluminium hardware for assembly, utilising tools like electric hand drills, grinders, and pneumatic up-saws.
  • Preparing and assembling CNC-cut plywood, other substrate panels, and essential hardware, employing hand drills, pneumatic rivet guns, and band saws.
  • Crafting and securing CNC-cut foam linings and inserts using band saws and gluing machines.
  • Collaborating in team meetings to address issues, propose improvements, and share tips and tricks.
  • Conducting quality checks on your team members' work.
