Ovation Custom goes BIG for Cirque du Soleil.
Some projects call for thinking outside the box. Others call for building a REALLY BIG one.
When Cirque du Soleil needed a specialised transport solution for its circus equipment, Design Quintessence stepped up to the challenge.
The result? The biggest road cases we’ve ever manufactured in DQ history.
Purpose-built to house a specialised net and outrigger system, these extraordinary Ovation Custom road cases were anything but ordinary.
Fortunately, the unusual is something we do rather well.
ALMOST 4 METRES OF CUSTOM-BUILT PROTECTION.
At an impressive 3.77 metres long, 774 mm wide and 966 mm high, this project was a BIG undertaking.
But size was only half the challenge.
The equipment required a carefully considered internal layout, with custom supports and compartments to accommodate individual components and keep everything organised and protected during storage and transport.
The finished cases incorporated aluminium extrusions, heavy-duty Penn Elcom hardware, custom internal supports and castors for mobility.
And yes, they’re big enough for two of our team to stretch out comfortably on top. We checked!
