Description

The DQ-WRSS-0X1.8 1.8m Steel Wire Rope Round Sling is a professional lifting sling designed for entertainment, staging, touring and production rigging applications.

Combining a steel wire rope load-bearing core with a flexible black outer sleeve, it provides the strength and heat-resistance benefits of steel while maintaining the flexible round-sling format and discreet appearance preferred for entertainment rigging.

Rated to a 2,400kg Working Load Limit (WLL) in a vertical configuration, the sling has specific WLLs according to the lifting configuration and angle.

Steel Wire Rope Core & Greater Heat Resistance

A key advantage of this sling is its steel wire rope load-bearing construction.

Compared with conventional synthetic load-bearing slings, steel wire rope provides greater resistance to heat damage. This can be an important consideration in stage and entertainment environments where potential exposure to heat needs to be considered when selecting rigging equipment.

The steel construction is enclosed within a flexible black outer sleeve, providing a practical combination of strength, flexibility and low visibility for professional entertainment rigging.

The sling should not be considered fireproof, and suitability for any specific temperature or heat-exposure application must be determined according to the sling’s identification, inspection requirements and applicable rigging practices.

2,400kg Vertical Working Load Limit

The sling has a 2,400kg WLL when used in a vertical configuration.

Its allowable Working Load Limit changes according to the lifting configuration and angle:

Configuration Load Factor WLL
Vertical 1.0 2,400kg
Choke 0.8 1,900kg
Basket 2.0 4,800kg
90° 1.4 3,360kg
120° 1.0 2,400kg

Working Load Limits above are taken directly from the identification tag on the current DQ product. Always refer to the sling identification tag before use.

Protective Black Outer Sleeve

The internal steel wire rope is enclosed within a flexible black outer sleeve.

In addition to protecting the internal construction, the black finish provides a discreet appearance that is particularly useful in theatres, live events and entertainment production, where rigging equipment may remain visible above truss, lighting and audio systems.

Integrated Inspection Access

An inspection opening in the outer sleeve provides visual access to the internal steel wire rope.

This allows the condition of the internal steel construction to be visually checked as part of the sling inspection process without having to remove the protective outer sleeve.

Designed for Entertainment & Stage Rigging

The combination of a steel wire rope core, flexible round-sling format and discreet black exterior makes this sling particularly suited to professional entertainment and production rigging.

Typical applications include the rigging of truss, lighting, audio and production equipment, subject to the appropriate WLL, lifting configuration and professional rigging practices.
