Elite Event Technology Shines at Master Builders ACT Awards delivering a standout production for the Master Builders ACT Excellence Awards hosted by the National Convention Centre in Canberra. Celebrating the region’s top builders across residential, commercial and civil construction. The event brought industry leaders together for a night that showcased craftsmanship, capability and achievement across the ACT. They ensured the atmosphere, staging and technical delivery matched the significance of the occasion.
Elite Event Technology managed the full scope of the production, integrating lighting vision, audio and staging into cohesive, polished environment. Global Truss in Action
A key component of the production build was the extensive use of Global Truss – a combination of F33, F34 and F45 systems working together to support lighting, screens and drape runs throughout the room. F45 played a particularly important role in the flown structure. As a 5-chord truss system, F45 offers increased rigidity, reduced flex and greater stability under load compared to four-chord alternatives. Its strength across wide spans made it the ideal choice for flying heavier elements, especially the main screen, without interrupting the clean visual lines of the room
The wider truss configuration was complemented by the use of U-Drops on stage, allowing fixtures and drapes to be positioned cleanly and at heights while maintaining strong load paths. These elements helped define the space and supported the technical layout without drawing to the underlying framework. Selective Pre-rig components were incorporated to assist with efficient bump-in and bump-out. Working effectively with truss dollies and truck pack formats, these pieces supported a quicker build while retaining a tidy, low-visibility footprint thanks to their black finish.
Global Stage decks were also throughout the venue to construct the main stage and riser platforms. Known for their stability and durability, the decks provided a solid foundation for presenters, award recipients and technical equipment across the night.
A Standout
The blend of F33, F34, F45, Pre-Rig, U-Drops and Global Stage formed a strong and adaptable production backbone. Elite Event Technology shaped the room with confidence and precision using Global truss. Their expertise, combined with a reliable truss and staging system, resulted in a refined production environment.
F45 (400mm – 5 Chord Truss)
The F45 5-Chord Truss from Design Quintessence is a heavy-duty truss system designed for demanding staging, lighting, and exhibition applications. Its 400mm x 400mm square profile with 50mm Ø x 4mm chords and a central fifth chord provides exceptional strength and versatility, making it ideal for supporting heavy lighting, audio, video, and scenic equipment.
Constructed from high-strength aluminium (EN AW 6082 T6) and certified by TÜV Nord, the F45 5-Chord Truss ensures maximum safety and reliability. It is compatible with a wide range of standard accessories, including couplers, clamps, junctions, and base plates, enabling flexible configurations for various setups.
Available in straight lengths ranging from 0.5m to 5.0m, the F45 truss system is suitable for venues such as theatres, houses of worship, schools, and conference centres. Its design allows for balanced weight distribution, making it easier to achieve stable and secure rigging solutions.
